Application Process

Individuals interested in applying to the apprenticeship program will apply through the LAUNCH application form. This form will ask for your basic contact information, industry you are seeking an apprenticeship in, and a few questions to gain additional information. If there is open recruitment within the county, individuals will need to apply through both the LAUNCH application form as well as through the county.

• Early Childhood Educator 

Hours & Duration:

• The County’s primary interest is to ensure that the student’s education is a coequal priority. Work performed in the student’s apprenticeship should not negatively impact the student’s academic progress and academic qualifications by the assigned work hours. 

• Students are allowed to work full-time up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. The student and sponsoring department can modify the schedule as needed to fit both the student and department needs. 

• Apprentices are limited to a maximum of 24 months of employment.  

• If the apprentice receives their certificate and they have not reached the end of their 24 months of employment, they may continue their apprenticeship for more experience until the end of the 24 months.
